Nikhil Siddharth writes to IT Minister KT Rama Rao on piracy in films; KTR promises action
Actor Nikhil Siddharth, who plays a student leader in his upcoming film Kirrak Party, seems to have really gotten into the skin of his character, so much so that it has rubbed off on to him in real life too. Recently, the actor got himself into a political debate when he raised his voice demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. Nikhil soon showed that it wasn't a one-off as he also spoke out against the Indian Army soldiers being martyred at the border and urged the Narendra Modi government to find a solution to the longstanding issue.
Now, Nikhil has also raised the issue of piracy with Telangana's IT Minister KT Rama Rao. The 'Karthikeya' star wrote to the minister on Twitter and was pleased to share his response.
"And our Real SuperHero Minister responds to the Piracy Issue eating our Movie Industry up.. Assuring he will look into it   Thank you @KTRTRS Anna (sic)," Nikhil posted on Twitter along with a screenshot of his conversation with KTR.
One hopes that with the IT Minister's intervention, piracy of films can be controlled in the state.
